A while back, my dear friend Jami made these cool notebooks. I totally admired them. To my surprise, she provided me with one and she issued Taylor and I this fun challenge:
- use stamps you love (who doesn’t love these cute Penguins from Imaginisce? And living in Cali, I love this beach theme)
- use Copics (The three of us love to color)
- use ribbon (Oops! I added it AFTER I took the pix….. Had to use a ribbon across the top where the black is.)
- use colors you love (had to use the blue cardstock for my scallop circle since blue is my favorite color)
- no restrictions - STAMP FOR FUN! (Woohoo! Stamp for Fun! That’s the best part! I don’t get to do that too often.)
Thank you Jami for providing this fun Challenge. I can’t wait to see what Jami and Taylor create! :) I know More is More, but I had fun doing this super duper simple project!

Isn’t Sushi just adorable? I have been wanting to stamp with Sushi since we got these stamps in….. but time has been so limited.
When I was Eugene Oregon for the Copic Certification, my roomies (Cami and Leann) and I started playing around with the AirBrush System. We then started airbrushing the clear dew drops to match our projects. For this project, I airbrushed the clear dew drops with RV04 and BG01 to match the cupcake and the water. I also airbrushed the WHITE ribbon with YR07 to match Sushi!
I also cut out the center of the fish bowl and added a piece of acetate to make it look like glass. Unfortunately, from the angle I took the picture, you can’t really see it. Sushi, the cupcake and the sandcastle area all popped up on foam tape.
This was a fun project!

How do I always seem to be late to things these days? I was all ready for the party, but I just never got it posted. Next thing you know…. I’m running all over town to graduation party after graduation party…. not to mention visiting all of the relatives that are in town due to graduations and summer vacations.
I made this card for Taylor’s Virtual Birthday Party. I can’t look at this set without thinking of her. And just to say how special this girl is to me…. I used my beloved Cool Carri bean cardstock that I have been hoarding since SU retired this color.

This is what I brought to the Birthday party. I have been fortunate enough to spend quite a bit of time with Taylor. We have had some great memories. She is a TALL girl, but every inch of her is filled with kindness. She is seriously one of the NICEST, most kind-hearted soul I have ever met. I am so lucky to be friends with her. Sometimes…. I touch her just hoping that I could collect some of her mojo!
One of my favorite times with Taylor was CHA last summer in Chicago. We got to room together and we had the BEST breakfasts….. Sour Patch Kids and Skittles. Who could ask for a more nutritious breakfast? Come on now…. those are packed with Lemon, Lime, Cherry, Grapes, and Oranges. What more can a person ask for in a breakfast? LOL!

Do you ever go back and look at the work you’ve done in the past? This card was from 2006……. ICK! But, it made me smile because it reminded me how much I love my Inky Antics Girly Girl Stamps. When I went to Archivers for the first time, I saw this paper and I immediately thought of this stamp and my friend Mishie (who by the way is celebrating her on year Blogaversary. You should go check out her blog for some cool prizes. Today she’s playing a fun scavenger hunt). Anyways, one of the first things I learned about Mishie is that she loves Margaritas. I even bought her a little Margarita bag when I was shopping one day. I love Margarita’s, too. Especially Strawberry Margaritas.
This paper is perfect for some of my other friends. Some of my friends love the following drinks:
AngFab: Margis for her, too
HB: tall, cold long neck (Miller Lite)
Kendra: Mike’s Hard Lemonade (yummy!)
Kookie Kopp: Pina Colada (Mmmmmm….. one of my other faves, Lava Flows are yummy)
Michelle Wooderson: Margarita
Piris: Strawberry Daiquiri or Coronas (Mix Kookie’s and Piris’s together and that makes the perfect drink)
Valerie Stangle: Greyhound (never had it)
After all that talk, I’m ready to “party” this weekend!

Can you believe Easter is almost here? I can’t believe it…… Didn’t we just pop the cork and wish everyone a happy new year? Where has the time gone?
I have been so in love with all of the Stampendous Easter/Spring stamps. This one was one of my favorites. This one is the Easter Word Bunny. We did this one in my stamp club. This was inspired by the Sympathy card I had made. Same basic concept.
I just love this Imaginsce Paper. This one is called Color Me Happy, which it totally does. the paper is 2 sided. Both sides are so cute. And there is a touch of glitter on the paper, too. I just love it.
After coloring in the image, I took my quickie glue pen and filled in the Bunny. I love how the pen is blue when its wet so that you can see where you are coloring. But, it dries so clear. While the glue was still wet, I took white fun flock and patted it down into the glue on the bunny. I just love the extra fuzzy texture it gives!
Here is a closer view. You can click on the picture for an even closer view.

I’m wishing you and your family a very Happy Easter!

It is always tough to make a sympathy card. My mom’s cousin passed away from cancer last week and she asked me to make sympathy card for the get together this past weekend. My aunt will be buried in the Philippines.
I didn’t have much time to make the card…. but when I was thinking of an idea, the first thing that caught my eye was the new Imaginisce paper from their Black Tie line. So far, I have loved EVERY paper that we have received from them. We have received 2 lines…. both are so different from each other. One is so elegant and the other is just so cute.
I ran my Cryogen White Cardstock through the cuttlebug using Swiss Dots. I’m so addicted to these two items. I did have to cut my cardstock to 4″ x 11. The 4 1/4″ just looked silly since the cuttlebug folder did not fit all the way to the ends.
The stamp set is by Stampin’ Up and I used Stampin’ Up’s ticket punch for the message. I added some Stampendous Dot Sparklers to the corners. I finished it off with the Black Organdy ribbon.
My mom was very pleased!

I looooooove Spinner Cards. They are almost as fun as shaker cards. You can check out my dear friend Cami’s tutorial here. But, instead of using the Circle Punch and then the paper cutter, we just used the Word Window Punch. (Thanks Auntie for showing me that trick)
The background stamp we used was the Stampendous Edible Easter Border. We used our Stamp-a-majig. Some of the girls just eyeballed the background and did VERY well. But, I don’t have the skills to eyeball. It was the first time we used the Stamp-a-majig in club. I don’t normally use it, but I think I may start! I know my friend Val LOVES and uses hers all of the time. I also added some fun flock to the Bunny and the Chick. It’s hard to see, but I love the little dimension it adds. And, I can’t stop touching it!

The Egg that spins is the Blossom Egg, also by Stampendous. Of course, I had to use my Copics to color these pretty stamps in.
When I showed the card to my club girls, one of them says….. “Oh, an Egg Roll”. We all laughed. Now every time I see this card, I get hungry for eggrolls!

When I saw this Hanna set, I knew I had to have one!!!!!! This set is called Sweet Celebrations. All of these sets have been fun to play with. They’ve especially been fun to Paper Piece. I took my new Basic Grey Two Scoops 6×6 Paper padout for inspiration. Then I thought….. “Hmmmmmm…. wouldn’t it be cool if her dress was the smaller print of the patterned paper that I’ll use for the background?” And so that is what I did! :) I took out the smaller pattern of Swirl for her dress and then I used the regular print of the 12×12 paper and used that for the background.
I colored her with my Copic Markers. Some people have asked me which style of marker I like better. To be honest, it really depends. I started out with the Original makers because I like the fine tip. I find it easier to control. But, I am picking up some sketch markers and I love those, too.
I am so addicted to embossing powder right now. I seem to emboss everything now. The greeting is embossed with Stampendous Chocolate Brown. I then used White Pearlsembossing powder from Stampendous for the lips. It’s translucent, but in the right light, you can see the white pearly finish. I just love these embossing powders.
This gorgeous ribbon was purchased by my dear friend StarLitStudio. I’m so in love with the look and feel of it. I also have it in a light green/celery color!
Well, tomorrow eP and Drew turn one. We hope to have some fun planned. Stay tuned…..

This was another card from my Stamp-A-Stack from a few weeks ago. I tried to keep it simple, but fun. It’s hard to tell that I used a Shimmer White cardstock that I ran through the snowflakes cuttlebug embossing folder. That shimmer white gives it that extra sparkle! :) I colored the image with Copic Markers and added a little Sakura Stardust to the “snow” to give it that extra shimmer!
Stamps: Penny Black Snow Hut, Lizzie Anne Designs - Christmas in the City
Paper: SU! Bashful Blue, Cryogen White Cardstock
Other: Copic Markers, Sakura Stardust, Marvy Giga Scallop Circle, Marvy Mega Circle, SU! Oval Punches
