I just love my Riley Moose Stamps. But, this one is very special to me. A portion of the sales will help stop cancer. This was included in our eP newsletter when this stamp was released:
About a year ago we introduced you to Kelly Laude, a brave young girl in the battle of her life! Her treatment continues and she has had a remarkable year that you can read about in her blog. Kelly’s mom, Kathy Laude, is a special friend and our former Stampin’ Up! Upline who contributes and maintains Kelly’s blog so we can share in her story.
You can always drop Kelly and Kathy a card (we know they appreciate your handmade creations) at the following address:

First off, I have to apologize for the dark picture. With my work, my other work, and my other work, I rarely have time to see sunlight…. much less take pix in the sunlight. And since I am on a computer that doesn’t have Photoshop, I can’t adjust the color!
So, this will have to do for now…. unless I can get time to adjust the pic and re-upload it.
I am a huge fan of Hanna Stamps and Basic Grey. When their shipments come in and I open a box full of goodies, its like heaven! I smile from ear to ear as I check the items in. It makes me want to play with them so badly. When I saw this stamp, I though it would be PERFECT for paper piecing. So, when the Basic Grey paper came in, I knew had to try it…..
I loooooooooove the 6×6 paper pads and I love how the print is scaled down on those paper pads. A lot of times, prints on patterned paper are great for scrapbooks, but just a tad too large for cardmaking. Basic Grey seems to have come up with the perfect solution. The background paper on my card is the regular 12×12 paper called Trance. It’s my favorite paper of the bunch. See how the print on the background paper is larger than the print on Sophie’s (at least I think that’s Sophie… unless Riley has another girlfriend) dress?
I added the matching glazed brads. I’m usually such a hoarder and never use it cause I don’t want to waste it. This is the first time I’m using them…. and I loved it!
I also added Adorn-It Pearls on the scalloped edges.
Its seems that the latest thing is the cutting and layering of images. I thought I would give it a small try since I had limited time to stamp. There are actually 2.5 layers of Sophie. And I gave an extra pop-up to Sophie’s head. Although it was time consuming, it was still fun!

Have a fun and safe 4th tomorrow!
