Whispy Blooms

Whispy Blooms

I just love getting together with the girls from Stamp Night.  We had some new girls, so I thought I would stick with a simpler, elegant card.  I just love this set called Whispy Blooms from Our Craft Lounge.  The Copics actually match the paper pretty closely, but I couldn’t capture it in the picture.  I would take a better picture in the “daylight”….. but I have two issue.

  1. In “sunny”California, it is very very cloudy! :(  I think it might rain later.
  2. If I wait to take a picture later, I’ll never get that picture taken. And when I do, it will take me forever actually download and get a blog post ready.  LOL!

Anyway, I whipped out the Birds and Swirls cuttlebug folder on Cryogen White cardstock.  That gets a new stamper EVERY time! :)  Easy, pretty embossing on such pretty shiney paper!  And they got to color, too! :)

Hopefully there is sun tomorrow so that I can take pictures of the other projects we created! :)

Till next time……

Remember the cute girl from yesterday’s post?  Well, this is her little sister! :)  Her name is Anna Mae.  She is a ton of fun to color, too.  And I think that she goes perfect with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder! :) (psssssst….. they are on sale at eP right now) Here is a pick of the entire set:

Cherish

Cherish

I was fortunate enough to go to a 50th wedding anniversary.  I am just in awe of couples that are so in love after so much time together.  It was so awesome.

This was the card that I made for them…. and also a card that we made for club. (this pic was taken during club, so I apologize for the  dark pic and the thumbprint on the card.  LOL!)

I ran the Textile Hearts Cuttlebug combo through my cuttlebug using the die portion on the large red piece of cardstock (it was going to get covered up anyway).  Then, I ran it through the embossing folder.  I stamped the beautiful Lizzie Anne sentiment (Say it in Script) FIRST and then ran the Cryogen White Cardstock through the cuttlebug using the D’Vine Swirl A2 Embossing Folder.  We then scalloped a strip of black cardstock using Stampin’ Up’s new scallop border punch.  We topped it off by using the Kaiser Rhinestones on the side. (sorry that it is somewhat hard to see)

Thanks for stopping by!

Trick or Sweet

2008 Trick or Sweet

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve had a VERY busy month. Lots of stuff going on and my work/home life has been busy, too!

The thing I’ve been super duper excited about is being a part of two of my most amazing friends’ stamp releases. I was fortunate enough to be at the my FAVORITE event of the year…. The Stamping Retreat. I was so happy to be with Pine when her set Rustic Branches was released. You should have seen how giddy we were when she graciously gifted us with one of her sets. The fun was also minutes before the release, Robin purchased some “bubbly” to celebrate. Pine was surprised and had no idea that we were all ready to celebrate.

Another amazing friend (Taylor VanBruggen) released her newest stamp line, Stamp a Sweet Impression, last Friday. She has the cutest cupcake stamps. It was so fun to go to her place on Saturday and help her ship LOTS of boxes. Nothing is better than to experience people that you care about live out their dream.

The project above is using one of Taylor’s new sets. I used the Spiderweb Cuttlebug Folder and swiped a VersaMark pad on it. Then I took a dauber and applied Perfect Pearls on it. It is so hard to capture the shimmer. I also added Black Diamond Stickles to the cape of this cute cuppie… not to mention the Red Kaiser Pearls on his head and cape. On the scallops, I added some Black Dot Sparklers. The sentiment fits PERFECTLY in the Word Window Punch.

2008 Trick Or Sweet Close

Congrats girls. You both are truly 2 of the sweetest people I have ever met. I wish you much success!

Taylor’s Birthday Party

Taylor’s Birthday

How do I always seem to be late to things these days? I was all ready for the party, but I just never got it posted. Next thing you know…. I’m running all over town to graduation party after graduation party…. not to mention visiting all of the relatives that are in town due to graduations and summer vacations.

I made this card for Taylor’s Virtual Birthday Party. I can’t look at this set without thinking of her. And just to say how special this girl is to me…. I used my beloved Cool Carri bean cardstock that I have been hoarding since SU retired this color.

Sour Patch Kids

This is what I brought to the Birthday party. I have been fortunate enough to spend quite a bit of time with Taylor. We have had some great memories. She is a TALL girl, but every inch of her is filled with kindness. She is seriously one of the NICEST, most kind-hearted soul I have ever met. I am so lucky to be friends with her. Sometimes…. I touch her just hoping that I could collect some of her mojo! :)

One of my favorite times with Taylor was CHA last summer in Chicago. We got to room together and we had the BEST breakfasts….. Sour Patch Kids and Skittles. Who could ask for a more nutritious breakfast? Come on now…. those are packed with Lemon, Lime, Cherry, Grapes, and Oranges. What more can a person ask for in a breakfast? LOL!

Paper: SU! Cool Carribean, Cryogen White
Stamps: Hey There Cupcake, Just-Rite Small Letters

Inks: Versamagic Tea Leaves, Versamagic Sea Breeze, Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid
Accessories: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, SU Oval Punches, Marvy Scallop Circle Punch, Cindy Ribbon, Adorn-It Jewels

Imaginisce Sympathy

Imaginisce Sympathy

It is always tough to make a sympathy card. My mom’s cousin passed away from cancer last week and she asked me to make sympathy card for the get together this past weekend. My aunt will be buried in the Philippines.

I didn’t have much time to make the card…. but when I was thinking of an idea, the first thing that caught my eye was the new Imaginisce paper from their Black Tie line. So far, I have loved EVERY paper that we have received from them. We have received 2 lines…. both are so different from each other. One is so elegant and the other is just so cute.

I ran my Cryogen White Cardstock through the cuttlebug using Swiss Dots. I’m so addicted to these two items. I did have to cut my cardstock to 4″ x 11. The 4 1/4″ just looked silly since the cuttlebug folder did not fit all the way to the ends.

The stamp set is by Stampin’ Up and I used Stampin’ Up’s ticket punch for the message. I added some Stampendous Dot Sparklers to the corners. I finished it off with the Black Organdy ribbon.

My mom was very pleased! :)
