So, yesterday, I’m sitting in my office on the 2nd floor of a “crappy” County Building. All of a sudden, we hear a BOOM! and the entire 2nd floor just starts rolling…… Now, I don’t know if it’s my age….. but when I was younger, earthquakes never scared me before. This time, I told myself to remain calm, but my legs started getting wobbly. I don’t know if this one was longer than I’m use to, but it seemed to have lasted forever. I was just glad it was over….. but then came the part that was even harder….. no cell service for a while. My sis just moved into a new place and didn’t have a land line phone. I was a little nervous about my 18 month old nephew with all of the boxes and stuff piled high from their move. But luckily, all is well with them!
When I got home, my mom asked me for a wedding card. I looked in my tiny stash of cards and noticed that there was nothing in there for a wedding…. hmmmmm…. does that mean that I actually have to stamp AGAIN? LOL! I had no mojo after dealing with the earthquake and the meetings that arise from it. So, I went to Splitcoast for some inspiration. It took all of 24 seconds for me to find the Dirty Girl Challenges and I immediatly spoted Jenn Balcer’s challenge. I knew exactly which paper to grab, now I justed needed a wedding image. Within 1 minute, I found this cute MFT stamp called Heart’s Galore and thought it would be perfect. I used my Scor-Pal for my dry embossing along the edge of my white cardstock.
It was awesome to be able to whip out a card in less than 15 minutes and be totally happy with it…. Thanks Jenn for the inspiration. I popped up the images with some Foam Tape, the 1/16th” tape for the celery cardstock to the black scalloped cardstock and then the 1/8″ for the Black scalloped to the rest of the card. And isn’t this CindyRibbon gorgeous? I think I need to restock on this beautiful ribbon.
And of course my card would not be complete with my new love…. Ranger’s Glossy Glaze.
Thanks to everyone that e-mailed, called, texted to make sure that I was ok!

It is good to be home….. CHA was a blast and it was awesome to see so many friends and adorable new products. But, nothing beats being home with your husband and sleeping in your own bed…. although I had a great bed-mate at CHA!
The only part about being home that I didn’t miss was having to go back to work! BLECK!
Then, on Wednesday night, I had stamp night. Oh my! What was I going to make? My brain was barely functioning when I got back Monday night…. and I just wanted to watch TV and spend time with my husband on Tuesday night. But, I knew I had to suck it up and get to work. We normally make 4 projects. One of the projects is normally a box or 3D item. A light-bulb went on in my head. I can make those cool Box in a Bag by Diana Gibbs.
I know you may think “Isn’t she tired of that paper from Imaginisce?” As you can see, I am not tired of it yet! LOL! And the girls from Stamp Night still love it. I guess living in SoCal, you can’t help but love the Beach-themed papers and stamps. AND it helps that these penguins are so cute!
The popsicle stamp I used for the tag is also from the Imaginisce line “A Shore Thing“. I then covered it with Ranger’s Glossy Accents to give it a “wet” look. I loooooove that product. It gives it a 3D effect and such a pretty gloss. You can click on the image for a larger view.
Once I get caught up, I’m hoping I’ll be able to stamp again soon!
Till next time…….

How does time seem to be flying by sooooooooooooooooo fast? How are we in the middle of July already? Didn’t Winter CHA just pass? How is it already time for CHA in July?
A few weeks ago, my dear friend Bevie Pearl (who I get to see and hug in Chicago in a few days) issued us a challenge to stamp something summery. Well, I had actually taken some time to stamp….. and I forgot all about my card until I started cleaning up my stamp room and found this card!
When I see this card, I have to smile. 4 of my favorite things are included in this card: Changito, Imaginisce Paper, Copics, and Summer. Since I was sending this to a guy, I guess I can’t really put “too much” bling. (Is there such a thing?) I guess the glitter and gloss from the cardstock itself is enough!
Looking forward to seeing my friends and new products at CHA in just a couple of days! I will try to blog from Chicago! :) I’ll definitely let you all know some cool things I spot!

First off, I have to apologize for the dark picture. With my work, my other work, and my other work, I rarely have time to see sunlight…. much less take pix in the sunlight. And since I am on a computer that doesn’t have Photoshop, I can’t adjust the color!
So, this will have to do for now…. unless I can get time to adjust the pic and re-upload it.
I am a huge fan of Hanna Stamps and Basic Grey. When their shipments come in and I open a box full of goodies, its like heaven! I smile from ear to ear as I check the items in. It makes me want to play with them so badly. When I saw this stamp, I though it would be PERFECT for paper piecing. So, when the Basic Grey paper came in, I knew had to try it…..
I loooooooooove the 6×6 paper pads and I love how the print is scaled down on those paper pads. A lot of times, prints on patterned paper are great for scrapbooks, but just a tad too large for cardmaking. Basic Grey seems to have come up with the perfect solution. The background paper on my card is the regular 12×12 paper called Trance. It’s my favorite paper of the bunch. See how the print on the background paper is larger than the print on Sophie’s (at least I think that’s Sophie… unless Riley has another girlfriend) dress?
I added the matching glazed brads. I’m usually such a hoarder and never use it cause I don’t want to waste it. This is the first time I’m using them…. and I loved it!
I also added Adorn-It Pearls on the scalloped edges.
Its seems that the latest thing is the cutting and layering of images. I thought I would give it a small try since I had limited time to stamp. There are actually 2.5 layers of Sophie. And I gave an extra pop-up to Sophie’s head. Although it was time consuming, it was still fun!

Have a fun and safe 4th tomorrow!

A while back, my dear friend Jami made these cool notebooks. I totally admired them. To my surprise, she provided me with one and she issued Taylor and I this fun challenge:
- use stamps you love (who doesn’t love these cute Penguins from Imaginisce? And living in Cali, I love this beach theme)
- use Copics (The three of us love to color)
- use ribbon (Oops! I added it AFTER I took the pix….. Had to use a ribbon across the top where the black is.)
- use colors you love (had to use the blue cardstock for my scallop circle since blue is my favorite color)
- no restrictions - STAMP FOR FUN! (Woohoo! Stamp for Fun! That’s the best part! I don’t get to do that too often.)
Thank you Jami for providing this fun Challenge. I can’t wait to see what Jami and Taylor create! :) I know More is More, but I had fun doing this super duper simple project!
