What a great weekend. Totally flew by, but fun non-the-less. Saturday, we got up at the crack of dawn to have a rubber garage sale at Jami’s house. Sales were ok, but the company was the best part!
Who wouldn’t enjoy a day with Jami, Taylor, Daisy, Emily, Jen and Leann?!
We ended the day with a yummy lunch that consisted of BBQ Beef sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans and french fries! Yum yum! I was so out of it that I didn’t take any pix!
I did bring my camera, though. A lot of good that did me, huh?
Sunday was spent getting things ready for our trip to CHA this weekend.
Monday was BLAST! Linda Duke, one of our first eP friends, was “in town”. So, Daisy, Val, and I met up with her for lunch. It’s funny how you may have never met in person, but can manage talking about anything and everything for hours without a pause. Linda is just one of the sweetest people. She’s beautiful and just so classy. Below is a picture of us.

Here is a pic of two ever so talented ladies. (Val and Linda)

And here is eP with their eP Friend.

What a great weekend spent with some of my favorite stamping friends!
Can’t wait to meet more new/old friends in just a few days at CHA!

Like I mentioned before, I looooooooove cute-sie images. When I had my first SU party, the hedgehogs were the first thing that I had to have. I was so sad when they retired all of them. But then, I went to a local stamp convention and saw these Penny Black stamps that were so cute AND there were hedgehogs. I was so excited. My aunt was so sweet and bought me 3 of them.
When we got these Penny Black stamps in, I wanted to play with them so badly, but time seems to be my challenge these days. When I saw the Color Challenge on SCS, I knew I had to play. Tempting Turquoise and Green Galore was my “go to” color combo because of my dear friend Lana. She also likes to color cute images. So, to me, this card was a perfect combo. Don’t tell her, but this card might be heading her way.

I am so happy that we got Penny Black stamps in. I’m so in love with “cutesy” images and Penny Black has a lot of fun images to color. This particular stamp is called Cheesecake Party. I colored the image with my PrismaColor Pencils and blended them with Gamsol and my blending stumps. I went over the top of the cupcake with my white souffle pen to give it that “icing” look.
The patterned paper is Splendid from Fancy Pants and the greeting is from Paper Trey. And of course, I had to use my Cindy Ribbon!
Can’t wait to play with more Penny Black stamps!

Well, I made it back from my white water rafting trip safe and sound. The rapids were pretty weak this year, but I still had a great time. I’ll post pix in one of my upcoming entries.
I was so excited for the new SU! Catty to come out. I’ve already got my order in and can’t wait for it to arrive.
I joined a swap because I can’t bear to miss out on any swap opportunities with a certain swap group I’m in. When I saw “Pick a Petal”, I thought that was the set for me….. unfortunately, I had a harder time than I was expecting with this set. The petals were larger than I thought and I am petal challenged ans I couldn’t get my petals lined up when I attempted masking the center of the flower….. so….. I resorted to stamping each petal and then cutting them out. I glued pieces of the petals with Scotch Tacky adhesive…. it stayed wet long enough for me to adjust the petals.
I used the Tent Topper layout created by my dear friend Michelle Wooderson.
This swap took me DAYS to finish, when normally it only takes a day or two. So, after makeing 36 of these, I was DONE stamping for a while! LOL!
