…… is among us. I can’t believe the season is already here! Time has been flying by so fast.
My mom was going to a graduation party, so she asked me to make a card for her co-worker’s daughter. As soon as she asked, I immediately thought of the new Graduation stamps from Stampendous. They are cute and so fun to play with. And I used my new favorite embellishment….. fun flock. It is just way too fun. I know that graduation hats aren’t always fluffy…. but I’ve seen some that are…. so that’s good enough, right?! LOL! I colored the diploma with the Sakura Stardust pen. I love how it adds a little bling.
The first layer after the cardbase was shimmery white paper. The patterned paper I used is the Stella Ruby 6×6 paper pad. It had just the right colors. My ric rac is from Cindy’s awesome Ribbon section from her store.
Congratulations to all of the graduates out there!

When we got these new Changito stamps from Stampendous in, I knew I HAD TO have it! They are just too stinkin’ cute. Not to mention, they were PERFECT for the fun flock that we had just received.
I stamped my monkey onto the white cardstock and then I colored him in with my reinkers and fantastix. I then covered his body and the top of his head with my Sakura Quickie Glue. I placed the fun flock on him and slightly pressed down to make sure that the flock would adhere to him. I just shook off the access fun flock.
My CindyRibbon added that last touch.
Oooooh! I just love that fuzzy feeling after the Fun Flock is on that card. I can’t wait to be able to play with more stamps and more flock.
This was going out to my dear sweet friend. I almost forgot to take a picture of it…. so that’s why you can see the writing in it already…. oops!

After getting the new Stampendous Stamps, I kept having the urge to play! But, I just had to much work, work, and work to do. Laundry is piled up, dishes in the sink….. but I wanted to take a few minutes to play! :) All of the new stamps are just too cute.
This acrylic stamp set is called Cutie Melon. I colored my watermelon with my beloved Fantastix…. I know you can’t tell too much, but I colored and cut out another watermelon and used dimensionals to pop them up. I also used dimensionals to pop up scalloped square from the card base. I thought my CindyRibbon matched the theme of the card perfectly!
Thanks a melon for looking.

When we got the new My Favorite Things stamps in, I was so excited. I just love these images and they are so fun to color.
My friend had a birthday party last Saturday night and I knew that You Take the Cake would be the perfect set to play with. So, I stamped the image an colored the image with my re-inkers (Lovely Lilac, Cool Carribean, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa, Regal Rose, and Pale Plum) and my fantastix. Some of these colors have not been touched for way too long. But, they had to come out since my Fancy Pants Splendid paper was such an inspiration for colors. And of course I had to use my Cindy Ribbon. I topped the cake with some Ice Stickles.
I hope she like her card!

….. well a couple of days early. It should actually be Happy Mother’s Weekend!
A couple of weeks ago, Jami Sibley, Emily Gunnell and I hosted a Splitcoaststampers Southern California Stamp Mania. What a blast! I got to meet so many new people and I got to meet some ladies I had been looking forward to meeting for a long long time. I am always overwhelmed by the generosity of the ladies that attend and drop off RAKs in our boxes. Thank you!!!! They are always full of inspiration and neat ideas.
This card was made from with the inspiration from one of StamperBeth’s RAKs. I loved the color combo and layout (although hers was a square card). I just added my own little twists to it.

This card was made using the Pollen Dust stamp set from Fancy Pants. I used my VersaMagic Inks (Sea Breeze, Jumbo Java, Aloe Vera, and Tea Leaves). I really liked the coverage of these inks. The sentiment is from the retiring Stampin’ Up set All Year Cheer II.
To all of you mother’s out there, I hope you have a fantabulous weekend.

Michelle Wooderson is a crafty genius. She came up with this design for Tent Cards. I just had to try it. It’s such a cute design and it still fits in a standard card envelope. I cut the Pumpkin Pie Cardstock 8.5″ x 4.25″ and then folded it in half. I then covered it with this GORGEOUS Heidi Grace Shimmery Flocked Paper. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but the patterned paper is shimmery and some of the flowers are flocked. I tried to take a picture from the side angle, but its still hard to capture. Here is the side view:

I just love these Bee Stamps by Stampendous. I used the Bee Trio in this project. I colored the Bees with the Prismacolor Pencils and blended the colors with the gamsol using blending stumps. I used the Sakura Stardust pen to color in the wings to give it some bling. I also used the Sakura Stardust to trace the holes around the scalloped edge. The Happy Bee Day greeting was stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy.
This project was a lot of fun.
